Starting a diet is extremely difficult and stressful. Eating the right mix of carbohydrates and proteins will greatly reduce or eliminate your hunger.
I start each day @ 0700 with a serving of whole grain cereal and skim milk. That gives me a few carbs to start my morning out right. At 1030, I have a protein meal bar which gives me 200 calories plus protein to maintain until lunch.
For lunch, I have another 2 servings of protein (Soy burger and turkey sausage/bacon, 1 serving of vegetables, and one serving of fat (such as olives).
Mid afternoon, I enjoy a protein drink made with 12 oz. of skim milk.
For dinner around 530, I have 2 servings of protein, an additional serving of vegetables, along with 1 serving of fruit.
I do my workouts and exercise in the evening. Post workout I enjoy a fruity recovery drink which satisfies me for the rest of the day.
That diet is approximately 1800 calories per day. And don't forget to drink lots of water.
Following this plan, I have lost 2-3 lbs per week and have not been at all hungry in the process.
It has only been 4 weeks but it has worked for me. And I love food and would normally eat all the time, just not the right foods. Eating the right combination of foods has staved off hunger thus allowing me to stick to the diet.
